The HomeTeamNS Strongman Challenge

First organised in 2005, the HomeTeamNS Strongman Challenge is the only strength competition in Singapore. Participants are put through 5 heavyweight challenges designed test their physical strength, endurance, determination, teamwork, agility and mental muscle.

The HomeTeamNS Strongman Challenge is the only strongman competition in Singapore, where weights up to 8 tonnes are lifted, pulled and carried. Preliminaries will be held on 26 February to identify the 10 strongest men and women for the Grand Finals on 24 March, to be held at Toa Payoh HDB Hub Atrium. The finalists will be put through various challenges – flipping a 350kg tyre, pulling a 2-tonne car and carrying 200kg logs for starters, and they have to complete them in the fastest possible time.
Preliminaries for Men and Women’s Individuals / U20 Tag-Team Challenge / Home Team Tag-Team Challenge
The preliminary round will be conducted on Sunday, 26 February 2012 at the National Service Training Institute (NSTI), 91 Jalan Bahar, Singapore 649735. Top ten/six participants (Men/Women), 4 Teams (Tag Teams) will be selected for the Grand Finals at Toa Payoh HDB Hub based on fastest total timing in the following events:
- Tyre Flip (Prelim/FInals)
- Log Walk (Prelim/Finals)
- Red Rhino (Prelims/FInals)
- Mazda Zoom-Zoom CX-7 Car Pull (Finals)
